Today Mk15,42-47 It is still friday. Now evening is coming. Jesus is still hanging on the cross but death. Joseph from Arimathaea a prominent man of the Council is going in to Pilatus house. He was bold to do that, to go there - [how NIV translate]. He asked for the body of Jesus.
Pilatus is surprised, that Jesus is dead already. He let it check by the centurion who saw, that Jesus was Gods Son. Then he allowed to take the body of Jesus.
Joseph now go's and buys the stuff he needs.
He is going to the place were Jesus is hanging and is taking him down. How is he taking him down? Did they take out the hole cross and put it on the ground and then take out the nails ore did they climb up, took out the nails and somehow Jesus. I guess, they just put the cross with Jesus nailed to down to the ground and then took out the nails. When they were finished: No cross remains.
Then they carried him in his grave. Closed it with a heavy stone. The women again stud from far and watching all they did. No communication between Joseph the important Jerusalem-man and the women from somewhere in Israel.
It is completely over now.
It is quiat now.
It is getting cold again. And dark because it is evening.
Maybe after it became dark in the sixth hour it never lighten up again.

Joseph was a important man. He was Council of Jerusalem. Now he is bold. After Jesus is death. After all the crazy moment - he is bold now. Why he is not showing up during the trials? Was he out of town? In Mel Gibsons 'PASSION' it is shown, that they pushed some people speaking up for Jesus out of the house. Maybe so.
> Many times i am in the moment ashamed, afraid, quiet, intimidated. After all is over and i had a little time to reflect, i see what i would have to do.
Joseph now seems to stop care what other think. He is just going into this pagan rulers house and ask for this body of this man Jesus, about whom everyone else made fun to hole friday. Joseph does not care that most likely he can not be part of the festival because he is unclean now, being in a pagan house, touching a dead criminal body... Everybody in Jerusalem knew saturday latest, on which side Joseph was standing on. Very lonely on Jesus-side.
> I admire him - he really repented of being fearful. He does no longer car about his reputation. He is risking it all. I want to repent like him.
Being ready to risk it all today.
Being ready to go to places for Jesus, i need to be bold.
Being ready to talk to people about Jesus they were willing to kill him.
Being ready to be excluded, because i confess Jesus as my Lord.
Being ready to serve him at least in a almost last way - but to serve him with all my heart now.
When i think about this, it is amazing how theoretical my faith can be. Jesus dead, hanging on a cross: Would i feel the need, that he needs to be taken down? Ore would i think:
"No, he is no longer in his body, it would just be a work with no meaning, because Jesus is now somewhere else ... why taken car on this dead body now."
But when Jesus resurrected out of the grave, this dead body was no longer there but a life again. This exact body, Josef is taking down from the cross, just out of reference - not thinking about any resurrection at all, will be a life - Thomas is touching it, the holes of the nails and the spear.
What Joseph did became is so powerful and deep in meaning! He risk it all out of love and reverence of Jesus, not knowing what exactly he is doing and it did not making a lot of sense, when we watch him taking down this destroyed body from the cross.
> If i do things driven by a crazy love for Jesus - it will never be silly ore stupid. God will use it in a incredible way. Even i am way to late with my reaction to a situation, were i could show way more courage!
I can be brave now!
God can use me now!
The sun came out today too - a new day - miracles are possible today!
Lk 11,8 I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man's boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.
Apg 4,29 Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.
2Kor 3,12 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.
