Acts10,25 As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence. 26 But Peter made him get up. Stand up, he said, I am only a man myself. 27 Talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people. 28 He said to them: You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with a Gentile or visit him. But God has shown me that I should not call any man impure or unclean. 29 So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection.May I ask why you sent for me? 30 Cornelius answered: Four days ago I was in my house praying at this hour, at three in the afternoon. Suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me 31 and said, 'Cornelius, God has heard your prayer and remembered your gifts to the poor. 32 Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. He is a guest in the home of Simon the tanner, who lives by the sea.' 33So I sent for you immediately, and it was good of you to come. Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us.
Cornelius is so in reverence about Peter, because the Angle knew Peter and told Cornelius to go to him.
The Angle is not telling Cornelius any thing - just to go for Peter.
Peter: "..., I am only a man myself." <> quick answer
Peter does not know why they called him :-)
>
I am just a man - but a man God wants to use. Even the Angle tells Cornelius, that the Man and not himself should preach the Gospel.

Try1:
Jesus says: "You are the light of the world."[Mat5,14] It is so encouraging how Jesus sees us. He does not say become the light ore work hard so their will be a light. He says: "You are the light." It is just a fact. He made us as lights in a world.
How helpful is it to have light in a dark place. Even more, when you have to life, work, enjoy life, have dreams of life … and you would need to do all of this in the darkness. "The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it."Joh 1,5 The truth is, that the world is in darkness. Darkened by Sin. And the people have to life in this darkness.
None is realizing this more the God and none has more compssion for us then God. So jesus came as the light and he made as all into the same light to life in this darkness for the erring human. "In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.Mt 5,16 How incredible if people see us and they are not reminded to think in a deeper way about who we are and what we do, but they immediately start to think about God and would praise him!
And since when was it hard for a light to shine? Is not shining what a light is anyway doing! Is a light become tired of shining? Isn't that what a light is doing as long a light is a light?
This weekend in Berlin has the goal to remind as and strengthen us the faith, conviction and confidence that we are in fact the light of the world. Shining is the most natural thing we want to do! And we will be so amazed to see, that people actually are no longer thinking about us but about our loving father in heaven! Come and let as enjoy fellowship, inspiration, strengthening each other in the faith, that God mad as into the incredible light which every one who sees it reminds of God and God will be praised!

Acts10,23 Then Peter invited the men into the house to be his guests. The next day Peter started out with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa went along. 24 The following day he arrived in Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends.

Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us. 34 Then Peter began to speak: I now realise how true it is that God does not show favouritism 35 but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right. 36 You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. 37 You know what has happened throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached- 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. 39 We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree, 40 but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen. 41 He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen- by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. 42 He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. 43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name. 44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. 45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. 46 For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said, 47 Can anyone keep these people from being baptised with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have. 48 So he ordered that they be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.

Acts10,9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. 13 Then a voice told him, Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.
14 Surely not, Lord! Peter replied. I have never eaten anything impure or unclean. 15 The voice spoke to him a second time, Do not call anything impure that God has made clean. 16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven. 17 While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found out where Simon's house was and stopped at the gate. 18 They called out, asking if Simon who was known as Peter was staying there. 19 While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, Simon, three men are looking for you. 20 So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them. 21 Peter went down and said to the men, I'm the one you're looking for. Why have you come? 22 The men replied, We have come from Cornelius the centurion. He is a righteous and God-fearing man, who is respected by all the Jewish people. A holy angel told him to have you come to his house so that he could hear what you have to say.
Peter is praying in noon-time / this is also the time, when the servants are already on their way.
Funny - Peter is hungry>Trance>Vision about the food
~Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.
~Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.
~This happened three times
~>God is good - 3times he shows Peter the vision - God really wants to make things clear!
<> then the hole timing of God becomes obvious - Just in the right time, God talks to Peter again. And the servants of the Centurion are at the door.
<> God is very clear in his command for Peter: So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.
<*> Peter is perfectly prepared for what the servants will say.
Do i believe, that God prepared my day - as he prepared the day of Peter? God wanted to save this Cornelius. Today, who does God want to save? Which way did God prepare today to meet me, so that i can save him?
I NEED TO BELIEVE!

Acts10,1 At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. 2 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. 3 One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, Cornelius! 4 Cornelius stared at him in fear. What is it, Lord? he asked. The angel answered, Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. 5 Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon who is called Peter. 6 He is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea. 7 When the angel who spoke to him had gone, Cornelius called two of his servants and a devout soldier who was one of his attendants. 8 He told them everything that had happened and sent them to Joppa.
Their was a Centurion.
he and his Family were devoted & God-fearing:
> Giving generously
> Praying regularly
Am i God fearing > am i giving generously? - i feel bad about my giving
Am i God fearing > Do i pray regularly? - Praying - need to repent here as well
the vision:
Clearly seeing an Angle of GOD!
The Angle know Cornelius!
Cornelius stares at him - in fear! But stares.... I like this - this pagan Man has different reaction on seeing God, but the same feeling. But he just stares at him! I would like to be a God-starer...
The angel answered, Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. > God knows what i do - God sees what i am not doing and giving....
The Angle needs to let Cornelius know about a man Simon, called Peter!
Peter is not that well known! > this is interesting. Even Peter was so powerful in miracles and speech; moved ones 3000 at once to be baptized. Peter is not all known! Joppe and Caesarea are not fa from each other. Cornelius does not know, that Peter is near... But God wants to reach Cornelius. So God makes Peter known to Cornelius. It is not the preacher who is important but the man who needs to be saved. God uses the preacher to save one of his! I am not important. It is all about the message! Do i preach the message in a right, clear and godly way?
After the vision:
Cornelius tells his men every thing what happened and sends them away to Simon Peter!
Cornelius is sharing his vision - he is not afraid to look stupid in front of his servants... He is a great man! > Cornelius loved GOD more then men.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Want to change how i am giving and praying. I would like to stare at God, even i am in fear! What i am doing i can not hide. God knows it anyway. ... IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MESSAGE - NOT ABOUT ME. DO I BRING THE MESSAGE ACROSS? IN A RIGHT WAY, CLEAR AND GODLY? for this i need to pray and live it.
Talk with my wife about our giving and about our prayer life!

Acts9, 36 In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which, when translated,ç is çDorcas), who was always doing good and helping the poor. 37 About that time she became sick and died, and her body was washed and placed in an upstairs room. 38 Lydda was near Joppa; so when the disciples heard that Peter was in Lydda, they sent two men to him and urged him, Please come at once! 39 Peter went with them, and when he arrived he was taken upstairs to the room. All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them. 40 Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. Turning towards the dead woman, he said, Tabitha, get up. She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up. 41 He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called the believers and the widows and presented her to them alive. 42 This became known all over Joppa, and many people believed in the Lord. 43 Peter stayed in Joppa for some time with a tanner named Simon.
The Faith of the people from Lydda.
Tabitha was so dear to them - 1)they tried every thing what they thought they could, so they called Peter / Peter does not make the impression of being overwhelmed by their request. Being in a room with crying widows and a dead body is intense, 2)but he does the same as Jesus ones did. He sends them out and prays. 3)And then he talks to a dead body. And then the dead body is a life again.
1)Having faith -> using every opportunity i have to go in the direction i have faith for. Even it is just a little thing i can do. If my faith is not their - Love is a great motivation for having faith! They loved Tabitha. /// Love + clear Goal:Even it makes your faith almost invisible: but some faith is still their. Then do it with this little faith :-) Miracles will happen!
2) Imitation: It helps giving your faith form. Peter saw Jesus doing it before. Peter does exact the same thing. It is not the form, that God needs but the faith. But if i can imitate someone, i have less to think about and i'm free to concentrated on my heart and my faith. Imitation just helps - gives security.
Who do i imitate today? - Terry who he is interacting in fellowship :-) Awesome brother!
3) Peter is talking to a dead body after he prayed. When we pray, we connect withe invisible God. The God who has the hole universe in his hand and every soul living ore dead. If i pray, i connect to the life source and the all-knowing. I connect with the invisible and the other level, to the spiritual world, to behind the scene. If i pray to God, the creator is listening always and he is close. Nothing is impossible for God. Dead body are not dead anymore but alive. So Peter did not talk to a dead body after he prayed but to a sleeping women, because God did hear what Peter prayed.
PRAYER - THE ALWAYS MOST UNDERESTIMATED THING WE DO, COULD DO, SHOULD DO

Acts,9,32 As Peter travelled about the country, he went to visit the saints in Lydda. 33 There he found a man named Aeneas, a paralytic who had been bedridden for eight years. 34 Aeneas, Peter said to him, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and tidy up your mat. Immediately Aeneas got up. 35 All those who lived in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.
Peter was around - visiting the saints. Very unspectacular!!!
Aneas has a talk with Peter:
"Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and tidy up your mat."
Immediately Aeneas got up
All those who lived in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.
Miracle are powerful in saving people - showing God is good, here and helps!
What about today?
This is something i ask myself often - Miracles would be needed today s in those days:
But am i out there like Peter visiting the saints?
Do i expect God moving in such a powerful way?
Peter does not seem to struggle about the question if Jesus would be willing to heal this Men. Peter tells this men: Jesus will and can help you!NOW!
Where is my faith today about what Jesus is willing to do now? Mt 9,29 Then he touched their eyes and said, According to your faith will it be done to you;
SO - Whats up CHRISTOPH - for today !?*
According to my faith, what will happen?
acts9,31 Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord.

27 But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.28 So Saul stayed with them and moved about freely in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord. 29 He talked and debated with the Grecian Jews, but they tried to kill him. 30 When the brothers learned of this, they took him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus. 31 Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord.
V27 Barnabas could some how find him - [why did he trust(?) Maybe he knew Annanias ore saw Saul in Damskus(?)] Then he brought him to the Apostles. Barnabas tells the Apostles about Saul seeing + hearing Jesus and how Saul preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus[nothing about Sauls conversion :-) was clear after all] > Who must the Apostles feel, seeing Saul - the chief-persecuter of Jerusalem converted, persecuted by him self now and not trusted by the persecuted. Saul was very lonely! This most have ben a very interesting meeting - Saul meets the Apostles. - What a atmosphere!??
V28 Saul stayed with them - with the Apostles!: & moves freely in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord! - This is unbelievable transition! Few days before he moved freely in Jerusalem to kill Jesus-people. Now he moves freely to preach Jesus. How must the people looked at him: Is he crazy? He lost his mind! He is not trustworthy![??] - how was that for Paul? But Saul seems to not care at all what other people think - he is just preaching!
V29 He talked and debated with Grecian Jews, but they again became very willing to kill Saul: AGAIN - just a few days in the new town. and already people are planing the killing of Saul
V30 The brothers heard about this they helped him to escape to his hometown Tarsus. Like in Damaskus, Sauls has to leave the town. Brothers help him here too - Saul could win some trust and hearts in Jerusalem. Saul was very active!
V31 Then a time of peace came for all the churches: Saul stopped being the main persecutor. There was no one like this in Jerusalem, who would drive the persecution in the same way. So the persecution stopped for a wile and the churches had peace through out the land.... Leadership was always important.
It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord.
A church was strengthened & encouraged BY THE HOLY SPIRIT: NOT by the church leadership ore the unity plan but by the HOLY SPIRIT!!!! I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS!
It grew in numbers - Numbers were important! They counted! Do i know how many disciples we have? How many new disciples, how many just went?
Living in the fear of the Lord - this was the church in the first century, scattered through out the hole Land. Is that my church?
IT HAS TO BECOME AT LEAST LIKE THIS - HOW?

Acts9,20 At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God. 21 All those who heard him were astonished and asked, Isn't he the man who caused havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name? And hasn't he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests? 22 Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Christ. 23 After many days had gone by, the Jews conspired to kill him, 24 but Saul learned of their plan. Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him. 25 But hisfollowers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening in the wall. 26When he came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple. 27 But Barnabas took him and brought himto the apostles. 30 When the brothers learned of this, they took him down to Caesarea andsent him off to Tarsus. 31 Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord.
23 After many days had gone by, the Jews conspired to kill him - Interesting that it is written days or not weeks or not month or not years: After a sort time, Paul was so well known for what he is doing, so they already were willing to kill him! Even he knew exactly what is the most important and difficult thing to preach he just preached it.
Do i avoid a certaine topic to preach because i know it could cause trouble? Is the topic so important, that i would need to preach it?
24 but Saul learned of their plan. Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him. - they were eager to kill!
25 But hisfollowers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening in the wall. - Paul had followers already - After some days preaching Paul had followers. How about my service and preaching. Do people want to follow me?
Paul was a brilliant guy and grew powerful and was able to baffle people.
Of corse he had followers. ... But they were willing to risk their life and safe him.
26When he came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple. - The news about his repentance was not traveling so fast. They did not believe! How must he feel! How crazy was it for him on the other hand to go into the center of hatred and it was also the place where everybody knew him. They knew him as persecutor! Now they will get to be used about the fact, that he is a believer too. How much pain did he cause? - >< - Still looking for fellowship this people.
>Would i be willing to go there? To see people i almost killed before and some of their friend and family-members i did kill - would i like to walk into a room and talk with this kind of people?
> Would i be willing to have a member with a history like Paul?
> Where are my borders of forgiveness, trust, love, mercy ...

V21 > Everybody knew the reason why a guy Saul is coming: Interesting. - Now they hear him and are more then surprised, because he preaches Jesus as the Son of God!
V22 > Saul grew more and more - in what? POWERFUL - He was able to baffle the Jews by proving that Jesus is the Christ. Paul confused the Jews - they believed he will silence the new way - but now he is speaking boldly and powerfully for the new way.
It is very difficult, if i believed for a long time to be right but then to realize, i was all wrong, all the time. Paul had this experience when he saw Jesus. They have this experience when they hear Paul preach.
But it is good - finally someone came and reached the truth!
Recently i had a conversation about past things, in which i was offers to see a other view on every thing. It was incredible. It gave me freedom and peace. I could surrender. Still there are things i feel, this was just not right but - I myself am not perfect. So i can surrender this too.
To be offered a new view point is awesome, if i can realize it is a viewpoint more likely from God!
What keeps me open to being able to accept Gods point of view.
IT WOULD CHANGE THE HISTORY.
If i am willing to be open and humble in the same time - History can change in a better direction, because i am willing to let go and let GOD. Damaskus would have been blessed - but unfortunately people could not see!
GOD HAVE MERCY ON ME

People listening to Paul proving Jesus is the Christ
How amazing would it be in Damaskus, if the listeners of Pauls preaching would accept the new point of view - GODS POINT OF VIEW!IT WOULD CHANGE THE HISTORY.

Psalm 51
9 Entsündige mich mit Ysop, und ich werde rein sein;
9 Entsündige mich mit Ysop, und ich werde rein sein;
