Acts8,4 Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. 5 Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ there. 6 When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said. 7 With shrieks, evil spirits came out of many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed. 8 So there was great joy in that city.
*Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went - This is normal. That where ever disciples go, they preach the word. Preach the word. Preaching it. This people were so powerful and determined, that nothing could stop them. How would they start in a City? They arrive there and then would start preaching ...
*Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ there - I guess this is an example! He went proclaiming. Samaria is not typical for a Jew to go. Maybe he also reminded himself of Jesus being there and having found many, many open people, responding very well to the truth!
*heard / saw > all paid close attention to what he said. - They heard Philip preaching and proclaiming(Did he too say:"You killed the Christ?") But then they saw what he was doing, Then they listen carefully. What exactly did they saw?
*With shrieks, evil spirits came out of many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed. - Evil spirits left with shrieks, man paralytics&cripples were healed. Amazing. People had their physical life changed in front of many people. Wonders!
*So there was great joy in that city. - So it was good news. Great joy!
GOOD NEWS ARE NOT JUST WORDS - GOOD NEWS IS CHANGED LIFES - PEOPLE BECOME FREE!
