Lk4,31-37    7days after almost being killed - 32km away[just a 6hour walk away] Jesus does the exact same thing: Preaching in Synagogue.
People hear Jesus teaching: Amazment about his message of authority!
The demon: Ha! What do you come to destroy us? I know who you are- the Holy One of God!
Jesus sternly: Be quiet! Come out of him!
                        the demon is leaving in throwing the men on the ground before them all
All people: Amazement - What is this teaching? With authority and power he gives orders to evil spirits and they come out!
News went out very fast!


What is this teaching - with authority&power he gives orders to evil Spirits and they obey!
Jesus did not say anything new ore against the teaching of the old Testament!
But they felt ore realized the teaching and the authority from were it came. The teaching had so much authority, that even the demons had to obey!


Might - Jesus was mighty - His words were more then words. Hearts get pressed. Hearts get open and there was space again. Minds get darker. Minds became light.


What i say - do i mean it?
What i pray - do i mean it?
When i see people - do i know them, so i can tell them?
How do i know people? How do people know me?

everyone praised him

All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips.

This are the first reactions of Jesus teaching - 
Then:
[v28

All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this.

]
then
[v32

They were amazed at his teaching, because his message had authority. 

]
[v36

All the people were amazed and said to each other, What is this teaching? With authority and power he gives orders to evil spirits and they come out! 

]


He never spoke without effect!
They praised him, they spoke well of him in amazement about his gracious words, they became furious, when they heard him, they were amazed because of his authority, they were amazed ...


And the authority was there - no one felt - i can be with him without obeying what he says. Not even the Demons, the most wild thing obeyed Jesus. This is crazy. What do i think, that i feel i do not need to obey?
Why is obeying such a struggle?
Because i do not listen properly!


Obeying was the only response of the teaching of Jesus -


It is like a lightning - you can see and feel and sense the power of it.
Ones in the Zoo in Berlin - a Lion was roaring. It was winter, so we were inside his building. It felt like the walls were shaking. He did not even look aggressive while he was roaring.
But it was so powerful. No one would think to fight against him.

Obeying is truly seeing God.

Disobeying is superficial
