Acts1,6

V6 The disciples ask: When will YOU build the kingdom of Israel?

> I would ask the same question:

I want to be in a kingdom - safety - position - little adventures

I want that Jesus finally is coming - no more struggles!

I want heaven

I want to be in paradise, Beach, Palmtree's, white sand, ice-cream,...

V7 Jesus answer: It is not your thing to know the time. The father decided - he is almighty!

> We don't know

But God is in control

God has a plan

As sure that Jesus died and rose again - he will come.

WE WILL ALL SEE GOD

it will happen:::

~ This will be the most important moment in history!

~ This will be the most important moment in MY LIFE!

~ Does God know my name then?

~  Is what i do now related to this moment?

~  Does what i do and think now make any sense, when i think about this amazing moment?

~  When i will be right in this moment - standing, kneeling before God - when i think back about today, will today make sans than?

V8 BUT YOU

Jesus is not thinking about the possibility of this moment

Jesus is thinking about me. < personally 

How am i doing now?

What do i need to experience this moment in the best way possible?

Jesus want to help me now!

BUT YOU will get the power,

when the holy spirit is coming in you!

It is not - but you NEED TO DO THIS ORE THAT

It is - YOU WILL GET THE POWER!

*God give me

*God equip me

*God will make me ready

AND YOU

There is something else:

And it is again about me - not God - it is me.

The kingdom of God will come. Some will be part of it. However - it will come anyway.

BUT

- How can i life now, that when i am in midst of this amazing moment before God, that i do not need to be ashamed of today?

will be witnesses

in Jerusalem, Juda, Samaria and till the end of the world.

Be a winesses

Be one

not just witness - not just, DOIT

People see & hear you.

What they experience is a witness.

A witness of God

In Jerusalem,Juda, Samaria and till the end of the world.

Where i life, in the neighborhood, in the region, where ever i am

Because i AM a witness, i AM a witness where ever i go and what ever i do.

V9 When he finished saying this

How quiet was the world in this then.

Jesus finished

he was lifted up

not saying anything more, he starts flying up - not to compare with walking on water …

and a cloud took him

he flies into a cloud

He's not seen anymore

Stephanus saw him later

Paulus saw him later

John saw him later

Peter jast heard him

Jesus is away.

He stopped talking

He's  last miracle was flying away.

It was quiet now

in front of their eyes

again - no faith

they saw it

faith is so much more, then just believe, 'yes he lifer'.

Now the power will come

We do not just see the power - we have the power!

We do not just witness about the power - we are the witness of the power!

Most of all as the church!
