Acts 3,1-10

A normal day - 

Peter and John go up to the temple.

> They went to go to pray in there prayer place - even this leaders killed Jesus. They saw this guys all the time. They even heard what they talked about from the old testament … How was that for Peter and John. Facing the killers of the Son of God. But still they went there to pray. Praying at a place ruled by murderers 

<> respect leadership and authorities

<> they do not let their faith be impacted by the darkness of this place!

A man lame from birth was there.

He was lame during the time of Jesus. Jesus did not see him …

> Jesus went by  the temple so many times - did he not see him?

God left him sick there for a other time of glory for him.

<> I am afraid, stressed many times, because i do not believe, that God is in control and he loves me always.

This lame man asked Peter & John for help!

Peter: "Look at us."

> Peter had faith and knew what he wanted to do with him.

<> When i see people.

Do i know what they need and do i have faith, that i can give it to them?

The man expected money

> Do i feel pressured by what the people expect?

<> If i know what they really need - Am i free in my mind to give it to them?

<> For that i need a bigger faith then the people have i talk to!

<> Do i have so much faith and therefore authority to change peoples life?

Peter:"I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH, rise up and walk!"

> Peter heals him.

> Peter is not like come i will baptize you because this is your biggest need! Even it would be true.

Peter helps him to become a human again.

<> Peter gives this man back his dignity

Peter took him by the right had and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong.

> I do not remember that Jesus would do it like this.

> Peter is helping this man to get up - he helps him to overcome the unbelief in the beginning. Peters faith helps healing the man.

<> My faith will help people to grow into faith

Jumping, praising God he walked with them in the temple.

AND ALL THE PEOPLE SAW HIM WALKING AND PRAISING GOD, AND RECOGNIZED HIM, AS THY GUYS SITTING BY THE TEMPLE DOOR.

And they were filled with wonder and amazement at  what had happened to him.

> They were amazed about what God i doing!!!!

> It had a great impact - the man praised God out loud!

> He was known as they guy begging all day long.

<> Human with there dignity back can become great lights for God

<> God can change people, that they start to be amazed about his power

<> What happened today, that i would be amazed about?

<> I need to see things, that are amazing to me!

<> i need the faith of Peter - then amazing things will happen
